Fethiye Municipality July Council Meeting Held
The regular July Council meeting of Fethiye Municipality was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Mayor Fatih Ugan.
During the meeting, a total of 9 items were discussed, including two ones outside the agenda, and all decisions were unanimously approved.
First, the proposal to name the green area located at 724/2 Street in Babataşı neighborhood as "TBB. ALB. DR. Yusuf Ziya Kocagil Park" was considered. The item was referred to the Other Affairs Commission for detailed evaluation.
The item prepared by the Police Department, proposing to add new revenue items related to the regulation, control, and cleaning expenses of various markets to the 2026 Revenue Tariff, was sent to the Tariff Commission.

Additionally, the item regarding the registration of the Otokar Atlas truck donated to Fethiye Municipality by the Union of Turkish Municipalities in the name of the municipality was unanimously approved.
The item granting all authority regarding the usage rights of the 626.44 square meter forest road located in parcel 96 of Nif neighborhood to the Mayor was also passed unanimously.
The report of the Other Affairs and Regulations Commission concerning the appointment of expert surveyors to take part in cadastral studies conducted under the Cadastre Law No. 3402 in the Cumhuriyet, Tuzla, Babataşı, Cami, Yeni Mahalle, Çatalarık, and Karagedik neighborhoods was read and unanimously approved.
The commission report to rename 546 Street in Tuzla neighborhood as "Rafet Tuna Street" to commemorate the late Rafet Tuna, who served as the headman of Cumhuriyet neighborhood for many years and recently passed away, was also unanimously approved.

Investments addressing the increasing energy demand were also on the council agenda. The item to allocate the public area north of parcel 1 in block 1995 in Günlükbaşı to ADM Electricity Distribution Inc. for 25 years was unanimously approved upon the company's request.
Furthermore, as part of ADM's efforts to strengthen the energy infrastructure, the item to allocate areas determined for the construction of needed transformer buildings in the neighborhoods of Günlükbaşı, Kargı, Patlangıç, Karaçulha, Göcek, and Ovacık to TEDAŞ General Directorate for 25 years was unanimously approved by the council members.
